Deep Impact Online

a 225 page training catalogue that stays fast

A leadership training catalogue of 225 live URLs on WordPress, built on a theme written from scratch instead of assembled in a page builder, so the main content paints in well under a second on a throttled phone.

Challenges

Deep Impact Online is a Singapore leadership and corporate training firm. Its website is not a brochure: it carries 225 live URLs across 37 programme and company pages and 188 articles, and it has to stay fast, editable and findable while that library keeps growing. A training buyer comparing providers does not wait for a slow page.

A page builder is the usual route to an editable WordPress site, and it is also the usual reason one ends up slow and tied to a single vendor. The content here is the product, so the programme pages and the article library have to be readable by search engines and quotable by AI assistants, and that takes structured data rather than keywords alone.

Our Strategy

We built the theme from scratch and put the performance work into the build itself, so speed is a property of how the site is made rather than a plugin added afterwards.

Our work included:

  • A WordPress theme written from scratch, with no Elementor, Divi, WPBakery or Bricks anywhere in the build, so a page ships only the markup it actually needs
  • LiteSpeed page cache at the origin with Cloudflare in front and HSTS enforced
  • WebP delivery with 45 of the 49 images on the homepage lazy loaded, so a catalogue can be image rich without paying for it on first paint
  • A schema graph covering Organization, ProfessionalService, Person, WebSite and WebPage, so search engines and AI assistants read what the business is instead of inferring it
  • One H1 and eight H2 on the homepage, a clean sitemap, and a robots policy that keeps the REST API out of the index
  • Forms and analytics wired in so the team publishes and updates day to day without a developer

Results Achieved

  • Largest Contentful Paint of 0.70 seconds on a throttled mobile profile, against the 2.5 seconds Google rates as good
  • Cumulative Layout Shift of 0.066, inside the 0.1 threshold, so the page holds still while a prospect is reading it
  • First Contentful Paint of 0.35 seconds, on a server response of 0.11 seconds from cache
  • 841 DOM nodes and 28 requests, roughly half the node count at which Lighthouse starts warning, which is the direct return on building without a page builder
  • 225 URLs live and indexable, across 37 programme and company pages and 188 articles
  • A schema graph across five entity types, published rather than left to inference

These are the live site measured on 22 September 2026 with Chrome DevTools Protocol, on a throttled mobile profile: 4x CPU, roughly 1.6 Mbps and a 150ms round trip. They are the technical performance of the site itself, not a client reported number, and no ranking or traffic claim is made here.

Client data shared in the call, not on the internet.
