Challenges

DiscoverASR needed to adapt its organic strategy to a rapidly changing search landscape. Users were increasingly relying on AI assistants for travel research, and Google was becoming more selective about content quality. Ranking alone no longer described where the audience actually was.

The account carried significant gaps across commercial and transactional hotel keywords, a content structure that had aged badly next to leading travel platforms, and almost no visibility into how the brand performed inside AI search in Indonesia. The brief was to grow organic traffic and prepare for the next shape of search at the same time.

Our Strategy

We built an AI-ready SEO programme that treats the AI assistant as a search surface in its own right, not as a side effect of ranking well.

Our work included:

  • AI-ready content: structured, authoritative and machine-readable pages that an assistant can quote as well as a reader can use
  • Content at scale: consistent expansion of the content library rather than a burst of pages followed by a long silence
  • Full-funnel search strategy covering discovery, research, logistics, itinerary and booking, so the brand is present at every stage of a trip decision
  • Authority building through owned and external content, strengthening the brand signals both Google and AI assistants weigh
  • Conversion-focused SEO that connects informational content to a clear booking journey instead of leaving readers at the article

How We Did It

Project Timeline

  1. Landscape and Gap Audit

    Phase 1

Mapped commercial and transactional hotel keyword gaps and benchmarked the content structure against leading travel platforms.

  2. AI Visibility Instrumentation

    Phase 1

Established measurement for AI assistant sessions, which had been effectively invisible in Indonesia, so the channel could be managed rather than guessed at.

  3. Content Library Expansion

    Ongoing

Sustained publishing against the full funnel, growing the library rather than topping it up.

  4. Authority and Conversion Work

    Ongoing

Owned and external authority building, with informational content wired into booking journeys.

  • Monthly search sessions up 35 percent, from 18,028 to 24,311
